1. Electrical Spotlights: Spotlights are basic electrical circuits. The spotlight power source is dependent on the type. The power source can be direct or current. When the switch in turned to “on”, the inner mechanism allows current to pass from source to lamp. The bulb filament resists the electricity flow. In the high efficiency spotlights, the current is passed through a small circuit board, which collects illumination of all the LED’s to produce light.

2. Reflective Spotlights: The bulb in the spot light illuminates due to flow of electricity. The bulb alone, has the ability to illuminate large amount of light. In order to amplify the light generated by bulb, the bulb’s concave area is coated with highly angled and reflective material. In order to illuminate the light in steady beam, the reflective area of the bulb is coated with aluminum-coated plastic. Taking spot size and coating area reflectivity into consideration, the LED or the single bulb can amplify up to 125,700 candle- power.

3. Spotlights with Lenses: While the reflective area and the bulb of spotlight generate small amount of illumination, due to its natural tendency of scattering, the spotlight is just ineffective. Manufacturers of spotlights use a glass lens or a plastic lens to cover the reflective area in order to direct the light to spot on.

Components of spot light and working

Whenever the flashlight switch is turned to ON position, you can find the flow of electricity between the two strips. The power is generated with the help of a battery. Battery is connected in such way to make the electricity to pass between negative and positive electrodes.

When ever the system is activated, the filament in the LED bulbs starts to glow. The reflected light is bounded around lamp. Reflector transmits the light from lamp illuminating a steady beam of lighting ray. A clear lens is installed on the lamp glass in order to protect the glass.
